Recycle Your Closet

Enjoy-ShoppingIn case you didn’t know, here at Second Chance we’re all about recycling your wardrobe. We function solely based off consignment: women bring in items, we sort through and pick the ones that are in good shape and in style, and then price and sell them. Once the items sell, the consigner receives half of the profit and we receive half.

Now why is this so great? We’ll tell you a handful of reasons.

1. Recycling your wardrobe allows you to downsize and upgrade. You’d be surprised how much money you can make from items you wouldn’t even think twice about getting rid of. We sell lots of high-quality, designer items at prices that make nicer clothing and accessories more accessible. Buying a few quality wardrobe items that will last you years to come is actually less expensive than buying a ton of cheaply-made items.

2. Even if you already stick to well-made clothing and accessories, sometimes you need a breath of fresh air in your wardrobe to keep you inspired. After all, fashion should be fun! Allowing yourself to part with favorites that don’t fit or you just don’t use as much as you used to allows someone else to love and use them. Certain pieces are meant to have a story.

3. When you feel good in your clothes, you feel good about yourself! Changing out go-to outfits in your wardrobe can help foster a positive attitude in yourself every day. Recycling your wardrobe can mean recycling those positive feelings!

4. The story of your community can be found here as well. When you purchase from our shop you are also supporting your fellow community members as our items are brought in by your friends and neighbors! Recycling your wardrobe is more than just a fresh change for yourself. It is an opportunity to not only cater to your inner fashionista, but also an opportunity to support your local economy.

Happy Shopping!
